Story
Hospice care is so much more than a building where you go to die. Most hospice care happens at home and in the community. And when we care for someone at the end of their life weve only got one chance to get it right. Its vital that were there to offer expert and compassionate support to every family in need.
One in four families who need hospice care cant get hospice care.
But for many people in the UK today hospice care isnt an option. People are dying in places they dont want or need to be, longing for the warmth of their own beds. And many families are left traumatised, with little or no support at the time they need it most.
Hospice care aims to provide tailored support to those with a terminal or life-limiting condition, no matter who they are or what theyre going through. We listen, understand and treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Its astonishing that on average more than 325 people a day, who would benefit from hospice care, are not able to get the compassionate and expert support they need. And as the strain on our NHS increases and our population ages, this number is set to increase further.
We believe everybody has the right to hospice care and we urgently need your help to raise vital funds so we can open up hospice care to more families in Nottinghamshire.
By donating today, you can help us open up hospice care so that even more families can benefit from our care.
