When Harborne Lane was reconfigured, for the access to the retail park, a tunnel was built to protect the line of the Dudley No.2 Canal which has been there since 1798. The basic structure was built but the finishing of footpath, lighting and safety features was left to the Lapal Canal Trust.

We would very much like to complete the tunnel on at least one side to allow the public quick and easy passage between Selly Oak Park and the retail park. We know this would be very popular based on feedback from people living locally at events we have supported.
