Its real life alter-ego was discovered 20 years ago. And guess what? Its only been around for 80 million! Which makes this rather weird looking purple frog as old as the dinosaurs

Besides being overlooked and under-loved, our purple Prince Charming is unique: if we lose this critter, its not coming back because it has no close living relatives. Its home is the mega biodiverse Western Ghats in India a lush and mountainous region it shares with other EDGE species. All face challenges and many of them need our help.

We are On the Edge, the storytellers and scientists behind your Save the Purple Frog game. Were trying to safeguard 100s of Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) species through our games, animations and work with conservation organizations.
