Story
Who are Camp Fire kids? They are our children and your children; the children of our community's essential workers - the people who got us through the last year.
With schools shut down, young people had few options to run, play, socialize, and just be in a safe, inclusive space outside of home. Fortunately Camp Fire Columbia stepped up, as we have for over 111 years, providing distance-learning, mentorship, and the transformative experience of Camp Namanu overnight camp.
Raising $100K this giving season will keep the Camp Fire Spark shining bright in 2022. We are prioritizing our investments in paying living wages, enhancing healthcare benefits, and providing scholarships so more low-income families can access high-quality developmental childcare. Will you help keep our youth connected and on the path to success when they need it most by making a gift today?
We need everyone to gather around "One Camp Fire" because we believe in collective care, everyone showing up, and doing what they can to ensure that everyone thrives. You can show up by making a generous gift, inviting your community to give, and by starting your own personal fundraising page in support of this timely work.
If your way of gathering around the camp fire is through a family foundation, gifts of stock, or planned gifts, please contact Erica Williams, Director of Development at eswilliams@campfirecolumbia.org or 971-710-2213.
