Today, 52 million girls in Sub-Saharan Africa are excluded from school, and 92% never complete secondary education. Poverty is the greatest barrier to girls accessing an education but through our 1 Million School Days appeal we have an opportunity to address this.

Just £120/180 days can keep a girl in school for one year and provide her with school fees, uniform, transport, food and essentials like sanitary wear. £40/60 days can support her through one term, and £480/720 days will ensure she has everything she needs to complete secondary school and become a leader of change in her community.

Educated women can do amazing things, launch climate-smart businesses, become health workers, run schools, and lead governments.
