We are sure everyone is aware of the massive challenges we have all faced over the past year or so that the COVID-19 global pandemic has caused. We have all been affected, losing a loved one, dealing with our own health concerns, mental health issues due to stress, money worries or simply a massive change in lifestyle. But as the country starts to move back to some form of normality, we are asking the people of Bedfordshire to help raise funds for our hospital that has been put under so much pressure in recent months.

The whole country has embraced the NHS and, more importantly, its front-line staff for the tireless work and commitment they have put into dealing with a pandemic that most of us have never experienced in our lifetime.

We need YOU, the people of Bedfordshire and beyond to get active and walk, swim, run, cycle, roller skate, walk the dog, ski (or any another activity you can think of!) and help towards covering One Million Miles whilst also raising funds for Bedford Hospital. We welcome everyone to take part, whether you are an individual, a business, a school, a social group, a sports club or even a family, we encourage everyone to join in our Million Miles Challenge.

Collectively we are aiming to achieve 1 MILLION miles before the end of December, but it is completely up to you how many miles you want to do and how you do it. You could take part in an organised event, create your own personal goal or even just log those steps you make every day and raise money whilst doing it! Every single mile you achieve and every single pound you raise will be helping us get closer to our target.

Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends are seeking £1,000,000 to fund a new, dedicated Childrens A&E within the existing A&E department at Bedford Hospital and to purchase a state-of-the art Computerised (CT) Scanner for the A&E Department.
