Story
The One Love Project (formerly The Abode Project) is a non-profit organisation at the forefront of school and community projects in Kabale, southern Uganda. Over the last five years, donations and volunteers have built the school, boarding facilities, and a dedicated Special Needs facility.
The classrooms offer much-needed education to over 100 children in an area of poverty where it would otherwise be unavailable. The boarding facilities are for several homeless and orphaned children, offering them much-needed support with two dedicated social workers. The boarding facilities are for several homeless and orphaned children, offering them much-needed support with two dedicated Social Workers. The Special Needs facility offers Physiotherapy, support, and education from suitably qualified teachers to many children that desperately need it. It also acts as a respite centre, allowing the families to work and provide for themselves.
As well as the school, the project also helps the local community with grants for businesses to the rebuilding of homes for those that need them.100% of donations go directly to the projects and will continue to support the school, the children, their families, and the community over the coming months - all donations will guarantee the children are clothed, fed, receive both medical and emotional support as well as ensuring those who look after them are paid well for their commitment to the project
