With your help we fly on.
You can support the Great North Air Ambulance Service by raising money online without even leaving your home!
Get on board, online: whether you take on a marathon in your own garden, hold a quiz with your family in your living room or host a virtual cocktail evening in your kitchen, you can have fun, raise funds and be an invaluable part of our life-saving mission.
With all the uncertainty in the world, you can be certain that well be here for you. But we need you to be here for us too, by supporting us at this crucial time.
Like everyone else, we dont know how this situation is going to develop. What we do know is the importance of preserving our critical care services. Lives depend on it.
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, we have cancelled our community engagement work for the foreseeable future. This includes talks at businesses, schools and community groups, bucket collections at shops and supermarkets, and the emptying of collection tins. When added to events organised by our supporters, which we also expect to be badly affected, this amounts to more than £100,000 a month on average.
Our community is central to the life-saving work of the charity across Cumbria, the North East and North Yorkshire, so the cancellation of this activity is a crushing blow to our cause. We know that our supporters have been training hard for half-marathons, volunteering at community collections and planning events exciting to raise funds in support of our service, and understand how frustrating the cancellation of these activities can be. Your support means the world to us.
