Oliver's Story
In July 2022, Oliver was rushed to hospital when he was a passenger in a horrific car crash involving a lorry.
He suffered a traumatic brain injury and many other life-changing injuries.
Now, 15 months later and as part of his ongoing rehabilitation, he’s walking 180,000 steps over 30 days. This is a huge challenge for Oliver on his road to recovery.
As part of his rehab, Oliver’s physio has challenged him to be more active. To keep him motivated to do this, he’s decided to raise money for Day One Trauma Support to say thank you for being there for him and his mum.
Day One provided financial support, a listening ear and counselling to help him and his family during their darkest days.
Knowing that there are other people joining in with him will make him more determined to smash the 180,000 steps target and raise as much money as possible for Day One.
It would mean the world to him and his mum if you joined in.
By doing so, you’d be helping other people who’ve experienced a traumatic injury get the support they need.
We want to give back so Day One can be there for the next family who need them
We’re looking for kind, caring and committed people to take on the challenge alongside Oliver. You can take on the same challenge as Oliver, 180,000 steps in 30 days, or you can increase or decrease the step count to challenge yourself.
Join our Team Day One Facebook group to get updates from Oliver and his mum and to share your progress.
If you also choose to fundraise alongside Oliver, then we’ll send you a Day One t-shirt to wear with pride.
Will you join Oliver's Army and take on the challenge with him?
