Story
This winter, Manchester United is hosting a stadium sleepout at Old Trafford, in support of vulnerable young people across Greater Manchester.
Manchester United is encouraging supporters to swap their bed for a sleeping bag for a night, and join us on Friday 15th November, as we unite to raise vital funds and awareness for those experiencing hardship this winter.
In the third sleep out at Old Trafford, fans will sleep under the stars on a cold winters night with only their sleeping bag for warmth.
Funds raised will be split between Manchester United Foundation and Centrepoint, a charity that supports homeless young people, for the two charities to support individuals who are living in crisis this winter.
Supporters will spend the night outdoors in the dropping November temperatures and will gain insight into the big issues surrounding homelessness and what can be done to support in local communities.
Between 2022-2023, Centrepoint found that 136,000 young people presented themselves to their local councils as homeless, highlighting the desperate plight of many in our area and the need for events, and support, like this.
With the Foundation working with more than 39,000 young people in 2023/24 - delivering community and education programmes across Greater Manchester - the funds raised from the Sleep Out will change lives for the better and help both the Foundation and Centrepoint to provide these vital services to local young people.
