Story
In April 2024, a team of parents and teachers from Oldfield Brow Primary School will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the creation of a Forest School within the school grounds.
The challenge is not to be underestimated. Our team will be hiking for 12 hours continuously, covering 2000m overall ascent across the 3 peaks, and covering 24 miles in total.
We're in full training mode now, giving up our weekends to walk long distances and climb as many hills as we can before the big day. We're also spending our Tuesday evenings doing a fitness session at school to help us get into shape!
So if you see any parents or teachers limping around school, you know why, give us a high-five!

What we're fundraising for ..
We'll share our training updates as we go, any sponsorship no matter how small, will go a long way to help edge us closer to building the forest school.
We're aiming to raise £5,000, which will go towards:
The creation of a forest school space within the school grounds
The training of a forest school lead
Purchasing essential equipment such as seating, outdoor learning materials and tools
Completion of necessary groundwork to maximise the potential of our existing space
This is something that the whole school can enjoy for years to come.
Thank you for your support, we'll see you on the other side!
