Story
Molly Ollys Wishes Charity supports children 0-18 years with life threatening illnesses. Due to the Coronovirus pandemic we have received an increase in the number of requests from both individuals and our colleagues in the NHS. These families are facing extremely challenging circumstances and need our support. This is at a time when we have seen a reduction in donations due to the cancellation of numerous fundraising events. We need your help.
Molly Ollys are launching our O for Olly campaign. Olly The Brave is a therapeutic toy designed by the Charity to help children understand treatment alongside the accompanying books. We want you to make an O. You can paint an O, bake an O, shave an O, mow an O ..its up to you . You can be as creative or as simple as you like. Remember to take a photo, donate £1 or more to Molly Ollys, then share and nominate three friends to help spread the word. Its easy and fun but by taking part you could be helping to make a real difference.
The Charity was founded in 2011 by Tim and Rachel Ollerenshaw following the loss of their daughter, Molly to cancer at the age of eight. The charity works across the UK to support children with life-threatening illnesses. It helps in the following ways:
Wishes
The wishes have an average value of £500 and can be for anything and everything such medical aids, toys, shopping vouchers, electronic devices, arts and crafts etc. A wish can help children through extremely challenging circumstances that are both physical and emotional and provide special memories for those around them.
Olly The Brave Packs
Olly is a therapeutic toy created by Molly Ollys to help support childrens emotional well-being. Olly and the story of how he becomes unwell and the treatment he needs is explained in the accompanying books. They help children to understand and share their experience.
One Off Projects
The Charity works alongside the NHS to support projects within the hospitals and the community. Molly Ollys fund a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine based at Birmingham Childrens Hospital but also supporting the surrounding community. We support the work of local community nursing teams.
Please MAKE AN O FOR OLLY, support Molly Ollys Wishes and make a very real and genuine difference to a child with a life-threatening illness. Thank you!
