Story
Oesophageal Cancer is a complex and tricky cancer, affecting approximately 450 people annually, that's grandparents, mums, dads, brothers, sisters, favourite aunts, uncles, or friends whose lives are forever changed, on diagnosis. Kickstart January with our daily-and-doable 20-day challenge to help raise funds for pioneering research that's helping save lives.
In supporting our cause, you'll be doing something good for you and you'll be helping us continue to take up for our growing community of patients and survivors.
You decide what to Give Up or what to Take Up, with the goal of donating EUR20 - that's only EUR1 a day over 20 days. Could we count on you to share with 20 people among your family and friends to take up our challenge? We're all in this together. Every EUR20 donated helps us to continue our pioneering research into this complex cancer.
Simple is best.
Give up a cup of coffee a day, take up a glass of water instead
Give up driving to your local shop, take a walk instead
Give up biscuits with your nightly cuppa, take up the cuppa instead
If you're more athletic take up any daily-and-doable challenge of your choice to raise EUR20, encouraging your friends to join you.
DONATE: EUR20 (go more or go less, every EURO counts towards our cause)
Or
PARTICIPATE: Set up a fundraising page and encourage your family and friends to get in on the act with you, too. The choice is yours!
LETS GET SOCIAL:
GESTURES THAT ENCOURAGE: Sharing is caring. We'd love if you could share Give It Up, Take It Up on your social media using the #20for20, or with family and friends on WhatsApp.
Every donation matters. Lots of EUR20 will help us reach our EUR20k goal. In simple terms, if 1,000 big-hearted people within our terrific community can support us, we'll get there, together.
When making your donation, do let us know what you're choosing to Give Up or Take Up, it could be you'll inspire someone else to join too.
This year we're celebrating two decades of commitment to our Oesophageal Cancer patients. A commitment: Powered by Hope. Driven by Research.
We thank you for your generous support.
