Story

Ambulance staff and volunteers really are 'going the extra mile' to keep us all safe during these challenging times. Can you go the extra mile for them by taking on and conquering the Outrun an Ambulance challenge this year?

It's designed to suit all people and abilities. You don't need to complete the challenge in one go and can do it as a team with each individual covering part of the distance.

You can walk, run, cycle, swim, scoot, paddle or ride anything that is self propelled. Do it on your own, with friends or as part of a team. Set your own time frame for your challenge but aim to complete it within 3 months.

STEP 1 - CHOOSE A DISTANCE FROM THE LIST BELOW:

STEP 2 - DECIDE HOW YOU WANT TO DO YOUR MILEAGE (IE RUN, WALK, CYCLE ETC) Set your timeframe (maximum 3 months) and plan to either go it alone or recruit your team.

STEP 3 - PLAN YOUR FUNDRAISING. Set up your JustGiving page and email charity.office@nwas.nhs.uk for your Fundraising Pack.

STEP 4 - GO FOR IT!! Everyone who completes their Outrun an Ambulance challenge and raises at least £1 will receive a special Certificate of Thanks. Those fundraising heroes who complete their challenge and raise £100 or more will also be sent a medal.

Please share your progress on social media using the hashtag #Icanoutrunanambulance
