Story

NWAS colleagues invite you to take part in the NWAS Ramadan Challenge.

What is the NWAS Ramadan challenge?

As Muslims across the world prepare and begin their spiritual journey for the holy month of Ramadan, we invite all of our NWAS allies and friends to join us for a day of fasting or making donation to the NWAS Charity.

When is Ramadan?

Approximately from 28 February to 31 March (to be confirmed dependent on moon sighting).

Fasting is from dawn till dusk. The fast starts at Sunrise and Ends at Dusk (labelled as Iftar on the timetable of dates):https://www.islamic-relief.org.uk/giving/islamic-giving/ramadan/ramadan-timetable/bolton/

Why should you take part in the challenge?

To understand and experience how Muslim colleagues feel when they are fasting for Ramadan. It is a great way to show allyship, gratitude, and to experience what the less fortunate go through.

How can I take part in the challenge?

Let us know that you are planning to fast by using the hashtags #NWASRamadanChallenge on social media and tag the @NWAMB_Inclusion account on X/Twitter, we would love to see your pictures.

What do you need to do for the challenge?

There is no obligation to fast, simply make a donation of any amount to the NWAS Charity.

Who can take part in the challenge?

NWAS are inviting everyone who is in good health to take part. Please note that for health reasons, fasting is not recommended for those with ill-health. If you are taking part but start to feel faint/ill in any way, please break your fast. It would be great if you can vlog/blog your experience and share it with us via social media by using the hashtag #NWASRamadanChallenge

Thank you for your support.
