The North East Skinny Dip event is a hugely popular annual mass skinny dip that takes place on Druridge Bay in Northumberland. It is a celebration of life! Of nature! And of our own, unique, physical bodies! It is about taking a risk and embracing a moment of pure joy and freedom! And, perhaps most importantly, it is about coming together, supporting each other and giving yourself a fun, fabulous wellbeing re-boot!!

2025 will be the 13th annual North East Skinny Dip, now the biggest Skinny Dip in the UK, with almost 1000 people taking part last year and more expected this year. If you have joined us before you will understand that there is no better way to celebrate the end of summer than by stripping down to skin at sunrise on Sunday 28th September 2025 and running wild and free into the North Sea with HUNDREDS of other people!

Since we began in 2012 we have raised funds for Mind - The Mental Health Charity. Since 2016 our fundraising has been for the local Mind branch, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, which means that ALL proceeds from your pledges and every single penny of your fundraising goes to improving local mental health services, so far this has been over £160,000. Together we are making a big difference to local mental health and wellbeing.

The North East Skinny Dip is a event that brings people together from all parts of the UK and all walks of life and all abilities. Everyone is friendly and welcoming to ensure new dippers feel as confident as those who have been coming for years, creating an amazing atmosphere of togetherness and being at one with nature.
