In 1944 Andrew Van Der Veer with the help of Marguerite Bonnema and Mary DeBoer founded Bethany as a nonprofit organization.

How can you help?

You can help ensure vulnerable kids and families are safe, loved, and connected. During the month of November, Bethany walk/run participants will be striving to GO FURTHER FOR FAMILY. Each participant will set their own walk/run/bike goal. They will be encouraged to stretch their goal and strive for a personal record to show their support for families in North Carolina.

In North Carolina, Bethany core services include foster care, pregnancy counseling, adoption services, and family counseling. Ways your gift can make an impact:

--$25 Can cover 60 days of mobile phone service for an expectant mother

--$50 Provides a pregnant mother with transportation assistance for one month

--$50 Supplies a child in foster care with a backpack and school supplies

--$75 Equips a child in foster care with tutoring/academic assistance

--$100 Can provide emergency shelter for an expectant mother and her children
