Research at NNUH

Thanks to generous donations we have already been able to support ground-breaking research over the last few years, but with your help we can do more to develop the patient care and treatments of the future.

Research active hospitals have been shown to provide better care for their patients. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has committed to embedding research through the network of hospitals and facilities.
The Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity is committed to supporting research at our NHS Trust, but we can only do this with your support.
Your donations could help us to:
- Provide opportunities to increase research activity at our Cromer Hospital, enabling more complex studies and giving researchers there a permanent home.
- Provide small 'seed-corn' grants to get research projects off the ground, or time to prepare larger funding bids
- Fund research fellowships, such as support for junior doctors in Academic Clinical Fellow posts, or creation of Clinical Associate Professors.
Being able to provide funding for research in this way will help to provide NNUH staff with opportunities to participate in research, build their own research portfolios, and create new research concepts. This will help to increase clinical academic research capacity, as well as helping to attract and retain talented and aspirational medical and clinical staff.
This will always result in improvements for patients at our NHS Trust, and we hope you will join us in our commitment to support research in Norfolk and Norwich.
