Story

All Stars Project, a leading national nonprofit organization, empowers young people from underserved communities through dynamic programs both on and off the stage, fostering growth and transformation. This year, All Stars Project of New Jersey is thrilled to honor Chris Paladino, President of New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO), and City of Newark’s Honorable Mayor Ras Baraka at our Fall Benefit on November 14th at the Gateway Center for their commitment to youth and community development. As head of DEVCO, Mr. Paladino is creating a more inclusive New Brunswick while supporting many impactful workforce programs helping disadvantaged people secure meaningful employment. Mayor Baraka, an All Stars “Phat Friend” awardee in 2012, helped launch All Stars Project’s innovative Operation Conversation: Cops & Kids program and greenlit the next generation of our partnership to improve police/community relations using All Stars’ curriculum and training for the NPD’s 1,000 officers.

Additionally, we are pleased to honor a group of Leaders in Business and the Arts who have made giving back a priority in their lives, including Dr. Jeanine Downie (Founder and Director, image Dermatology), Mindy Lissner (Vice Chair, Cushman & Wakefield), Colleen Maguire (AVP, Jones Lang LaSalle), Courtney Mulligan (VP, Marketing, Russo Development), Kristen Pappas (Senior VP, Onyx Equities), and Talia Young (CEO of Newark Symphony Hall).

Thank you to our dedicated co-chairs who are ensuring the success of the event: John Saraceno (Onyx Equities) and Peter Bronsnick (Cushman & Wakefield), and our caring ASP of NJ volunteer leaders including board members Abdul Ajani, David Barnett, Ruby Brar, Brian Clark, Christian Correa, Carolyn Dorfman, Alvester Garnett, Michael Heningburg, Chioma Igwebuike, Jeff Kronthal, Roy LaManna, Peter Langerman, Delroy Morgan, Courtney Mulligan, Robert Ross, Ryan Taylor, Ray Thek, Glenroy Wason and DSY trustees Joe Colangelo, Chris Curley, Eloisa Faria, Mathew Feldman, Scott McAllister, Rhea Roberts, Mercedes Smith, Jahmila Williams and Chris Wolff.

Join us on November 14th at the Gateway Center for our Fall Benefit to support our mission to create a more equitable New Jersey. Your ticket purchase or special gift will make a difference. For inquiries, please contact Fundraising Director Steve Barry at sbarry@allstars.org or 973-856-6698.

Thank you for your generous support as we continue to create hope and opportunity for our young people!
