Story
This year Nightsafe should have been celebrating 30 years of helping vulnerable homeless young people across East Lancashire, however the Coronavirus outbreak has turned the whole world on its head and sadly Nightsafe has suffered as a result of it.
Like many other charities our fundraising events have been wiped off the social calendar, funding streams dried up and bids deferred indefinitely.
Many of the people we are supporting are homeless through no fault of their own and they are almost a hidden collection of people. Some sofa surf, some sleep rough under railway arches or in carparks - but what unites them is that they have nowhere they can call home.
Young people are the heart of everything we do at Nightsafe - but if we don't raise £100K this year it may mean we are not able to continue to offer these services to those who need it most.
It is very difficult asking for money, we know there are a lot of incredible causes, but the truth is we have a massive financial hole and we need the support of the community now more than ever.
So, if you are unable to buy that fancy coffee, visit your favourite restaurant or treat yourself to that outfit for a night out, any money you can donate will help us to continue to look after those with no home to go to.
