Story
It is still a critical time for our NHS.
Day after day, night after night, our staff were pushed to their limits over winter. Across the country, the NHS was receiving a seriously ill Covid-19 patient every thirty seconds.
The vaccine has been delivered to frontline healthcare workers, the most vulnerable people in your community and is now being rolled out more widely across the country. While this is a brilliant step forward and provides hope, it will take time. Until then, our staff will continue working tirelessly to keep you and your loved ones safe, bearing the huge burden Covid-19 has placed on the NHS.
Whatever you can give, you will have the chance to make an immeasurable impact on our stretched staff, and on patients still separated from those they love. Your message of encouragement and love, which you can leave alongside your donation, will provide some much-needed solace and comfort to everyone in hospital at the moment.
£3 could support 600 expectant parents each month with a specialist welcome pack
£10 could fund comforting care items for stretched staff working long hours
£25 could support our volunteer services, which provides vital support to patients, families and staff during these exceptionally challenging times
£50 could go towards expert counselling to support staff
£100 could go towards giving staff some much-needed time away from the wards in a dedicated calm room
We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support we've received since the pandemic began. It's a really tough time for us right now, and we know it is for you too. But any support you can give us will mean so much to us all. - Raji, Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department.
