Story
Across the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals as well as NHS Nightingale in Birmingham our 20,000 members of staff are working tirelessly to care for our patients. Our staff are staying at work for you, and are asking you to stay at home for them but your donations will help us support them and the NHS in this critical hour of need.
We are using your donations to provide comfort packs for staff working long shifts, especially those who are staying in emergency accommodation away from their own homes and families.
Please donate what you can, and we will use your donations for the following things our staff let us know will help support them:
£2 will fund some snacks or treats to help keep the staff going at such a difficult time.
£3 will fund hand cream, moisturiser or gel for staff whose hands are chapped through regular washing throughout the day.
£5 will fund tea and coffee supplies for frontline staff.
£25 will fund an overnight comfort pack of toiletries, washbag and evening meal for those staff staying at hospital overnight.
£50 will fund a grocery pack for a doctor or nurse staying in emergency accommodation way from their own home and family so they can be caring for patients around the clock.
£200 will fund a tablet that staff can use with patients to receive video calls from their families who are not allowed to visit the hospital.
£300 will fund a commercial quality microwave so staff can have hot meals on their units instead of going elsewhere in the hospital.
£500 will fund a commercial quality piece of reclining furniture for a staff room so exhausted staff can grab a 30 minute rest between shifts.
Please give whatever you can every penny really makes a difference.
