Story

The hospice has played a huge part in the communities of North East Wales and the borders, providing specialist care to local people over the course of the past 3 decades, our ability to care for the patients and families we meet each year is largely dependent on the support we receive from our community. Put simply, we couldn’t do all that we do without you. Each year the community and; local and national organisations have been very generous to continue supporting Nightingale House in the work that we do – for which we are very grateful.

On 20 & 21 June 2025 we will be running our Longest Day, Lasting Care 30-hour fundraising marathon to help fund the very best palliative care for local people and support for their families.

Our aim will be to raise as much money as possible to fund the vital services provided at Nightingale House Hospice. Everything from Wellbeing sessions and rehabilitation appointments in our specialist gym, to providing tasty, nutritious patient meals and creative therapy workshops, to respite and end of life care in our Inpatient unit and bereavement support for local families.

The beauty of this campaign is that through match funding your contribution will make DOUBLE the impact. For every donation made by a member of the public, our fabulous group of funders, made up of philanthropists, foundations, or businesses will match that donation. So, £30 becomes £60 for the hospice.

This can be done in a whole host of fun and interesting ways – and we would be very grateful of your support. We have come up with some simple ideas to inspire you. Your fundraising could be incorporated into a personal interest, or talent, or it could give you and your friends the opportunity to try something new.
