Story

We provide vital mental health services locally

Newport Mind has been supporting the local community for over 40 years. The demand for mental health support is now greater than ever. With your help, we can continue to meet that demand.

Every penny raised really helps provide life-changing services to the people of Newport.

Your gift can change lives

Your kind donation will help us continue providing vital services for people in our local area. These services provide a real lifeline to those who need them.

Some of our services include:

Our Housing and Tenancy team help people who are homeless or in temporary accommodation find a home:

o They also manage accommodation properties for people with complex needs and work with them to help them become self-sufficient.

o Additional support is given to help people access food bank parcels and apply for the universal credit they are entitled to.

We have professional Counsellors who work with children and adults on a range of complex needs, providing essential 1 to 1 sessions to those in need.

Our Wellbeing Ambassadors provide courses helping people to learn to better manage their mental health.

Children, Young People and Family Services team have a range of projects supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people, aged 025 years, and their families. They work within schools and provide an outreach for children and young people in Newport.

These are just some of our core services offered at Newport Mind. We run regular activity groups where people can learn new skills or just come along to meet others and have a chat around mental health. Our training team delivers specific mental-health based training courses for individuals and organisations.
