Can you help us to achieve our goal of having a new, purpose built, fully furnished classroom facility for adults and young people with learning disabilities who we support?

Ripon Community Link has been serving our local community for over 25 years providing high quality day care services.

We provide a safe, caring, fun place to be for all our Members whether they spend their day at St Wilfrids Bungalow with classroom and community based activities or at The Walled Garden enjoying work based experiences in horticulture, retail and catering.

Indoor facilities at The Walled Garden have always been limited, we have had a long-term plan of improving the facilities, and the advent of Covid has made this an urgent issue to address. We have worked hard to adapt our sites to allow us to run sessions with social distancing measures in place but unfortunately this has meant reducing the number of people we can support on site.

It is vital that our Members can access the on site support we offer. On site we are able to work with every individual to put bespoke plans in place to support their educational, physical, social and emotional wellbeing. Routine is so important to our Members and they were especially affected by the sudden, drastic changes brought about by lockdown. We knew we had to continue to offer support so established a Home Support service and worked really hard to adapt our sites to ensure we could open again safely as soon as possible.

We have planned and designed a purpose built classroom space which will offer the best possible facilities for our Members, the kind of environment they deserve to be in!

We are so close to finalising the project, the building and it's furnishings.

Ripon Community Link is extremely grateful to the many businesses, individuals, and grant making foundations who have already donated money and provided materials free of charge. We still have an estimated cost of £22,000 to complete the fully furnished build.
