The Womens Rugby Program at Newberry College is in its inaugural year of competition. We are extremely excited to be able to share the intense, fast-paced sport that is womens rugby with Newberry College and the surrounding community. Our team has started off its historic season strong recording the programs first ever win in the first contest we played against Guilford College on September 3rd. As we are in the midst of the Fall season, we hope to continue to grow as a team, challenge ourselves by playing some of the best rugby teams in the NCAA and share the rugby culture with the Newberry community.

As a first-year program, we have a lot of promising talent looking to grow the sport of womens rugby as well as a lot of needs. Your gifts help with everything from travel, apparel, and meals for the team when we travel. Specifically, items like an alternate set of uniforms to have both a home and away set, help with travel/tournament fees for the team to be able to participate in large rugby competitions like Tropical 7s in Florida, and rugby specific equipment to use at practice. You help support the purchase of important gear and apparel our players deserve but we cant always afford.
