The Newberry College softball team has officially started full team practices, and we are excited about the 2023 season. We have 10 newcomers from the states of South Carolina, Colorado, and Florida. Our team has been doing great things already in the classroom, around the community, and of course, on the softball field. This fall, we get to play at Presbyterian College along with a couple other junior college teams. Tough competition always prepares our team for a very competitive spring schedule. We know our success will be determined by our hard work in the classroom and on the field, but also made stronger through the love and support of our family, friends, and fans.

Our annual 100 Inning Softball Game fundraiser will be held on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27-28. The players will be divided into two teams and play 100 innings of softball, dressed in Halloween costume. Since this is the same weekend as Homecoming, alumni will be encouraged to donate any amount and play on Friday, Oct. 28. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook with updates posted on our Instagram and Twitter accounts.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Through your support, we hope to raise at least $10,000 to supplement a much-needed laser grading of our infield, along with our travel expenses. All gifts, no matter the size, are appreciated and go a long way in continuing to provide a rewarding student-athlete experience.

All gifts will directly benefit the Newberry College softball program. Thank you in advance for your support and I hope you get the opportunity to watch us in action this season.
