After the devastating flood which took place in August 2024, alhamdulillah we as a community have the opportunity to look forward and rebuild our centre to support the growth of our community.

The day after the whole community came together and managed to clean up the mosque and get us back on our feet and enable the centre to not only open its doors but for us to hold our Arbaeen Walk event within 48hrs of the flood allowing us to serve thousands of people over that weekend. So far with the community's help and support we have achieved the creation of a new power plant room which has enabled us to restore the power supply to the centre and relocating the power supply from underground to above ground. We have been working with our insurance to have the affected building stripped and dried by a specialist company and prepared for the next step.

Now we have the opportunity to look to the future...

Expanding Our Kitchen’s Impact

The kitchen at Hyderi has become a hub of community life, now in use almost daily to support our regular programs as well as our ever expanding programs for the community:

- Mini Muslims

- Jumuah (Friday Prayers)

- Ladies Sufro

- Sports Events

- Funeral Services

- Special Events

As usage continues to grow, so does the need for upgrades to ensure the kitchen remains a reliable space that serves everyone efficiently.
