“Football is a game you play with your brain.” - Johan Cruyff
Welcome to the Neuro Euros 2024!
Get ready to lace up your boots, cheer on your favourite teams, and make a real difference in the lives of those impacted by neurological conditions.
Let's kick off a summer of football fundraising!
What is the Neuro Euros?
As the UEFA Euros 2024 takes centre stage, we're harnessing the power of football to raise awareness and funds for The Brain Charity.
We’re challenging you to take on a football challenge, from five-a-side matches to office sweepstakes, with the goal of raising vital funds for The Brain Charity’s services.
Whether you’re playing on the pitch or the console, cheering from your sofa or the sidelines, every fundraiser will contribute to a brighter future for individuals living with neurological conditions.
How do I get involved?
Download the digital fundraising pack from our website for our favourite football fundraising ideas, sweepstake template, football quiz and more!
Once you’ve decided on your fundraiser, create your Just Giving page by clicking the orange ‘Start Fundraising’ button. Make sure to send it to your friends and family so they know about your amazing efforts!
Make sure to tag us @TheBrainCharity and use the hashtag #NEUROS2024 on socials so we can share your updates and cheer you on!
A Note on Safety:
The Brain Charity does not endorse heading the ball in any football activity, including keepy ups and amateur matches, due to the potential risks of brain injury or development of brain conditions later in life. In line with FA Guidance, under 11s should never perform heading, with under 18s and amateur adults suggested to avoid heading where possible and limit any heading to no more than 10 in one session. Although more research is required, and is underway, into possible links between heading footballs and brain injuries/conditions, The Brain Charity strongly advocates that any footballing activities undertaken as part of The Neuro Euros should avoid heading at all times.
