Story
We are a young charity based in Thurrock that has already made a significant impact in its first year by being awarded by Acquisitions International East England's most supportive food and hygiene bank.
We freely provide relief to families and individuals who are in need. Every person who walks into our network hubs will receive a care parcel which is equivalent to 5 days worth of food and essential supplies, but not only that, they also receive practical support, encouragement, and hope. These values are central to the Christian message which is the Gospel that brings light and love into the world, and as such to the main mission of Necessities UK. We are working to break the cycle of poverty in our communities by identifying and challenging those systems, policies and practices that exacerbate poverty through reform and taking practical steps by not attaching quotas or means criteria to receive relief. We work as an inclusive charity whose hands are open to all, irrespective of gender, nationality or creed - and genuinely believe nobody should be left behind.
