Story
We are encouraging everyone to take on the ‘MyMiles’ challenge this June by setting your own ‘MyMiles’ challenge to raise a minimum of £25.
Will you join others in the myasthenia community to wheel, step, walk, jog, run, swim a mile (or more!) during June? Could your mile include a stop off at your local GP Surgery to hand in awareness raising literature?
£25 could help to: send out information packs to four new members who have recently been diagnosed with myasthenia.
£250 could help to: provide myNews magazines, invites and other important communications and literature to 20 myaware members per year, to help keep them informed of the latest research updates, support events and information on managing myasthenia.
£2,500 could help to: fund the costs of our annual Zoom licence fees, which help us to keep the myasthenia community connected.
Every £25 you raise will help the myasthenia community.
How many miles will you decide to do?.....
Please do spread the word with family and friends, ask them to join the ‘MyMiles’ challenge too!
Without myaware and without our donors, there would be no myasthenia community in the UK. There would be no dedicated support services, no awareness of this rare and debilitating condition and no hope of finding a cure. We are the myasthenia community. Join in with ‘MyMiles’ this June and help to support this community, to fight myasthenia together with us and to find a cure. Thank you!
If you take part in a physical challenge you do so at your own risk. Myaware will not be liable for any injury or loss that participants suffer as a result of taking part. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the degree of fitness required to take part and that they are physically capable of participating and well enough to take part for the duration of the challenge.
