My Bag Charity has been supporting children and young people in Nottinghamshire for 3 years by providing a practical bag of comfort items to all children and young people entering foster care for the first time, of which there are over 600 in Nottinghamshire.

We have begun to support young people in semi-independent foster care by providing a box every 13 weeks, which contains items such as: a meal, personal hygiene, sanitary products, etc.

A similar box will be provided for all young people leaving foster care (care leavers) in Nottinghamshire to help them set up on their own.

The funds raised from this campaign will be used directly to create these boxes and help some of the most vulnerable people in our local community.

We're also pleased to let you know that 97p of every £1 you donate goes directly into creating the boxes as all the charity trustees are volunteers, which means you know that the money you donate really does make a difference.
