Story
Lace up and make a difference this August!
The 5 x 5 Challenge is your next fitness challenge. Compete by finishing 5 5ks in either 2 weeks, 1 week or just 1 day (...or if you're feeling really adventurous, all three!). You can run or walk your 5ks, just be sure to finish all 5 within your chosen timeframe. Maybe you're new to running and would like to keep motivated? Or perhaps you'd like to challenge yourself by walking more? Earn your Team Cav medal and enjoy some beautiful routes across Sheffield, all whilst staying safe and distanced. We'll be posting some fun 5k trials for you to try out, but you can of course head wherever your legs take you.
Here's what to do:
1) Decide whether you'd like to complete your 5ks in 2 weeks, 1 week, or 1 day this August. Stick to this timeframe!
2) Set up your online sponsorship form by clicking the "Start Fundraising" button on the right of this page. You can also set up the Strava app to link to your JustGiving page, so all your supporters can cheer you on as you finish 5k after 5k! It's really easy, looks great and means more people will sponsor you. Here's how to do it: https://help.justgiving.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007215857-Connecting-your-Fundraising-Page-to-Strava
3) Tell everyone you know that you're taking part in the 5 x 5 Challenge - share your page on your social media and ask for donations! See if you can raise more than £55 to support Cavendish services - this will cover the cost of 2 hours of professional therapy for someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or caring for someone with the disease. Every penny you raise will help to provide care to someone who needs it the most right now.
Complete your 5 5ks, raise sponsorship, and earn a Team Cav medal! Good luck! Thank you so much for your incredible support.
