Story
Mustafa El-Bayati (although a lot of you will know him as Muzzy!) has been a much-loved figure around the club, especially on match days for many years now. Mustafa has cerebral palsy and relies on his wheelchair for him to get around and be able to have his own independence. In footballing terms Mustafas current wheel chair is in the lower reaches of the Conference but we believe he is deserving of a Premier League quality wheelchair and that is why we are asking for your help, to raise money for Mustafa to get his new chair.
Mustafa and his family are very popular people here at the Cobblers and the family have The Cobblers close to their heart. The El-Bayati family have been supporters of the club for over 30 years and have been here since the County Ground days. Mustafa and his family are not just any supporters though, he and his family have raised thousands of pounds for the club and the community trust, particularly with our multi-disability football programmes. Raising money for the club at various functions often in the cold, wet and difficult times Mustafa, his Dad Abdul (who unfortunately passed away just over twelve months ago) and his Mother Shelia gave up their time to help Northampton Town Football Club and Community Trust because to them, the Cobblers are family. Both Northampton Town FC and the Community Trust are very close to Mustafa and his family they were one of the first volunteers the Community Trust recruited thanks to Brian Lomax in his role of Trustee at the club. Mustafas Dad Abdul even used to make the Northampton Town players breakfast on a Friday!
There could not be a more deserving person than Mustafa to raise funds for a new wheelchair, Mustafa would never ask anyone for anything but will always be the first person to lend a helping hand to those that need it. This time it is our turn to help Mustafa.
