Story
The Murphy Library Endowment Fund helps support the collection development, equipment, programming, development, and facility & environmental needs of the library. The endowment fund is a pledge of excellence shared by donors who believe that the library is a central part of the teaching and research mission of the university.
The fund was established in 1989 to support and enhance the special needs of the library that were not covered by regular budgets. Today, Murphy Library faces even greater financial challenges in providing the exceptional resources and services that contribute to the level of excellence that defines UWL.
In 2016, a second fund, called the Florence Wing Fund, was created to complement the endowment fund in other special programming, service, and activity-based needs of Murphy Library. We thank you for helping Murphy Library make a difference in the La Crosse academic community in the 21st century!
