Goats and sheep dislike walking through the mud as the mud can get in between their toes and cause Interdigital dermatitis commonly known as scald, which can result in lameness. The ponies find it difficult to walk through the gateways as the mud can get very deep.
As a charity100% of the money raised is spent on the animals in our care, run by unpaid volunteers. We currently look after 34 goats, 18 sheep,10 ponies, 2 elderly horses, 5 geese, 3 cockerels and 18 ducklings, soon to be released back into the wild.
