Story
We welcome you to our Mt. Hood Jazz Festival Support Page!
The historic Mt. Hood Jazz Festival is back at Mt. Hood Community College and our community is excited to welcome it home!
You can make your gift here, promote our festival in social media- or easily start your own personal page to help students, inform your friends and family, and support our mission.
Your gifts and additional support will fund this educational event and help our program secure the future of music of all genres in East County and the Greater Portland Area.
The Mt. Hood Jazz Festival began in 1982 and famously brought us such high-profile performers as Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubeck, Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, and B.B. King. The festival was the last place Rosemary Clooney performed live.
Rooted in education the festival is also much more! The Mt. Hood Jazz Festival is a three-day jazz immersion which welcomes thousands of high school and middle school musicians to our Gresham campus to perform, learn, and grow in their musical endeavors. The students are submerged into an exciting environment of peer performers, professional concerts, and masterclasses.
Your support will provide aspiring musicians, educators, and community members with exposure to professional jazz musicians, and provides opportunity to inspire the jazz audience of today with the jazz musicians of tomorrow!
Thank you, in advance!
