Story
In conflicts across the world in Ukraine, in Democratic Republic of Congo, in Yemen - MSF is saving lives beyond the frontlines. We're there helping to fill the gaps, running nutritional programmes for malnourished children, treating infectious diseases, helping vulnerable women to give birth safely. People caught up in conflict make up the largest proportion of our patients, and the sad and devastating truth is that, if we weren't there, many people would have limited or no access to healthcare. - Dr Elma Wong, MSF anaethetist
MSF teams are working around the clock and across the globe to provide life-saving medical care in dangerous conflict zones.
We are triaging trauma patients, carrying out emergency surgery and delivering mental health support for people caught up in airstrikes, shootings and indiscriminate attacks.
But injuries caused by the fighting aren't the only threat to life.
Conflict and war can cripple a healthcare system, leaving many people cut off from the essential services they need - medication for a chronic illness, vaccination against an infectious childhood disease, maternity care for a young mother.
From Ukraine to Yemen and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the impact of a conflict goes far beyond the frontlines. And so do we.
How your support makes an impact

There was nothing flashy about what we were doing. There were few acute medical crises, no lifesaving trauma interventions. I'm an A&E doctor and I've worked for MSF in conflict zones like Syria, where much of the work involved physical trauma injuries. But what we were doing there in Ukraine, night after night, was something just as vital and something that, as MSF, we always try to do, in conflict zones and wherever else we work. We stand with our patients. We take the time to be there, to listen, to help, to provide the medical care they need. To let them know that, even in the midst of war, they are not alone and they are not forgotten. - Dr Javid Abdelmoneim, emergency doctor
