Story
The Medical Research Foundation is taking part in the Thames Bridges Trek to raise vital funds for research into Eating Disorders and Self-Harm amongst adolescents.
We know Eating Disorders and Self-Harm amongst young people is a huge issue. Approximately 1.2 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder, such as anorexia, and more than a third of young people have self-harmed at some point in their lives. Most of us will have family and friends who have been affected by these conditions.
We don't know enough about the causes of Eating Disorders and Self-Harm amongst young people. There are still so many questions to be answered order to identify who is most at risk from these conditions, how they can be prevented or treated and how people can be helped to recover.
We want to make a difference to ensure no other young people have to suffer in the same way. Can you help us?
All donations, however large or small, will help to fund more vital research. 100% of every donation will go directly to cutting-edge medical research into adolescent eating disorders and self-harm, so you can be sure your gift will have the maximum impact.
We are so grateful for any support you are able to give.
