Support Animal Rights in Türkiye
In July 2024, Türkiye’s Animal Protection Law changed drastically, requiring all strays to be housed in shelters, and ending the “collect, neuter, vaccinate, and return” practice.
Under the new law, stray dogs that pose a threat to human or animal life, have a contagious disease, or belong to banned breeds can potentially be put down under veterinary supervision. Municipalities have until December 31, 2028, to build shelters and improve conditions.
With only 105,000 shelter spaces available for an estimated 4 million stray dogs, the challenge is overwhelming, putting countless lives at risk.
In response, we have been in constant contact with animal rights organisations, activists, and experts to determine the best course of action. As a result, we have launched the Animal Rights Fund to support grassroots shelters, promote local giving, and facilitate knowledge sharing to improve living conditions for strays and ensure better care.
Your donation can make a direct impact by saving lives, providing safe spaces with better conditions for animals, and strengthening the animal rights community in Türkiye.
Donate and join us in supporting those working on the front lines of animal welfare and building a future where no stray is left behind.
