Story
In March 2020, things were not looking good for Herts Inclusive Theatre. Due to the impact of the global pandemic, we were forced to close all of our sessions at our venues and our charity faced closure almost immediately.
Thanks to the fantastic support we received over the coming months from our supporters, local and national funders, we were able to launch a wealth of online, closed activities for children, teenagers and adults. We even managed to launch our very first online musical with over 20 participants. Pre-recorded videos were also put out, aimed at everyone, which included yoga, drama, breathing exercises and games. All of our online activities were aimed to keep our vulnerable participants connected and help prevent social isolation through the UK lock-down. We managed to raise a fantastic £3,491 through our last Crowdfunder to help us through a very difficult time and were overwhelmed by the support given.
HIT are not out of the woods yet. Creating a safe space for our participants has never been more important, integrating them into the community and supporting their mental and physical well being. We still need your support more than ever in order to move forward as we begin to start up again.
We are so grateful for any donation made, big or small. Thank you.
