Story

Seasonal fundraising events enable us to build a brilliant therapeutic and social activity calendar of events for the children who we support.

This festive season we are asking you to click - donate - support - share - to help us make a difference to a bereaved child.

The cost of cards this Christmas, one less box of chocolates, the price of a hot chocolate or anything you can afford will help.

We are able to offer opportunities to children & young people for them to try new activities from rock climbing to sailing while building relationships with people in similar situations.

Alongside some events, we are aiming to run ‘Bereavement Cafés’ where families can talk to skilled volunteers and therapists to work through difficult feelings and emotions.

Mosaic supports families all over Dorset, we help children up to 18 years old who have suffered a bereavement. We support families as a whole facing the loss of someone special and we also offer Early Bereavement Support immediately following a death.

We support schools and professionals in Dorset with training to give them better knowledge and experience in supporting children going through a bereavement. Offering this support to our county, we hope to open the conversations around grief and prevent emotional issues in adulthood that can arise following a childhood bereavement.

It has been helpful to know that others have experienced the same and got through it. Knowing that not being sad all the time is okay and that it wasn't my fault and I couldn't help it. I would tell others that the sadness never leaves but it does become easier to cope with and they they shouldn't be scared to express their feelings towards the situation.

The team at Blanchards Bailey have been phenomenal in supporting Mosaic as charity of the year, with endless fundraising contributing to the charities valuable work.

We were so excited when we were approached with the idea that Blanchards Bailey would like to produce a festive video for Mosaic to raise awareness of the vital work we do throughout Dorset - an opportunity too good to be missed!
