Story
This March, Morrisons and Marie Curie are working side by side to raise vital funds for frontline nurses.
Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal usually brings together millions of people across the UK to volunteer, fundraise, donate and wear a daffodil. This year due to the pandemic, Marie Curie volunteers aren't able to collect so Morrisons and Marie Curie are working side by side proudly aiming to raise £500,000. This vital money will help frontline nurses continue to provide the care that dying people and their loved ones urgently need.
Every penny you raise will make a massive difference, read below to see what a difference your donations can make:
£1 puts a pen torch in the pocket of a Marie Curie Nurse or doctor, so they can do vital examinations of the people in their care.
£3 pays for heating one of our hospices for an hour, meaning the patients and their families feel warm and comfortable, even on the nippiest of days.
£5 pays for a glass of wine and a nourishing meal for a patient at one of our hospices, because enjoying a favorite tipple brings a smile to peoples faces and is a treat many look forward to.
£16 is enough to sponsor a bed for an hour in one of Marie Curie's 9 Hospices across the UK meaning someone living with a terminal illness can get expert care when they need it most
Just £20 is enough to fund an hour of expert care from a Marie Curie Nurse so someone with terminal illness can get the support they need in the comfort of their own home.
£32 pays for a call to the Marie Curie Support Line, meaning someone in need can pick up the phone and receive practical information and emotional support.
