Story
In the wake of a devastating magnitude 6.8 earthquake, Morocco finds itself grappling with the aftermath, especially in the remote communities nestled within the High Atlas Mountains. Asni, a picturesque town known for its rich culture and natural beauty, stands as one of the most affected areas. The tremor has not only shattered its infrastructure but has also deeply shaken the livelihoods of its residents, many of whom depend on tourism.
Recognising the urgency of the situation, we have swiftly connected with a responsible, well organised and managed Moroccan NGO. Collaborating closely with the partner we are spearheading a coordinated response to ensure immediate emergency relief reaches Asni.
Funds will be channelled into immediate relief and later restoring damaged tourist attractions, trails, and local businesses, providing direct financial aid to affected families, and promoting the destination as a safe tourist destination once more.
We call upon past visitors to Morocco and all members of the travel trade to support this campaign to help the most fragile of communities impacted by the earthquake.
