CancerCare is an independent charity which has been providing free professional therapy to people coping with the effects of cancer and bereavement, across Morecambe Bay, for the last 40 years.

Morecambe Golf Club Captain Gerry Farrell, and Lady Captain Jane Brooks, have chosen CancerCare as their Charity Partner of the Year because of the vital work it does helping thousands of people across the area cope with the devastating impact of a diagnosis or the loss of a loved one.

Just over 90% of the income the charity needs to help these people comes from fundraising and generous donations from local people who recognise how important its work is to the local community.

Every penny raised through the fantastic fundraising at Morecambe Golf Club will be used straight away to make a real difference to the lives of many local families whose lives have been turned upside down.

The amazing target of £10,00 for the year will enable 272 young people from Morecambe to access our Young Peoples Peer Support Services, cover the cost of 298 adult counselling sessions and 338 aromatherapy sessions.
