Story
This is Moose. Moose came in on the 8/7/2022 with another dog who has found a forever home, as his owner was being made homeless and could no longer care for them. When Moose came in he was underweight and suffered from a bad DR.
Moose does have a sensitive stomach and is only on a Chappie diet which we recommend new owners to keep him on.
We found out that he needed the cruciate ligament surgery around 3-4 months ago when he began limping on his back leg quite badly not wanting to weight bare. he had the surgery 8 weeks ago and has made a smashing recovery. he is still on limited exercise slowly building up to normal walks again. but will need to keep the running around to a minimum for the rest of his life. it is likely that the other leg will need surgery in the future as it is common that once one cruciate goes the other one will follow but this isn't a definite. the other leg at the moment is in good health.
we are setting up this JustGiving campaign to give Moose's new adopters some piece of mind that if the other leg does need the surgery that some, if not all of the cost is covered as its an expensive surgery.
If any circumstances arise with Moose in the future which would mean the funds were not used directly for his operation, all funds raised will go to any other animal in desperate need of help at the RSPCA Stubbington Ark Animal Centre.
