Every day our team of volunteers support patients and staff in many different ways. Volunteers give their time freely, but there is a cost involved in managing the service, and this is funded by public donations. There are currently 213 volunteers at Moorfields, providing 835 hours per week to the Trust. We estimate that each volunteer costs Friends approx. £400 per year.

Volunteer roles include patient guiding and directions, helping in clinics and supporting patients during procedures, helping with check-in, and supporting visually impaired patients.
