Our Winter Appeal 2025

We are raising £15,000 in this year's Winter Appeal, can you help? Rough sleeping has risen 91% since 2021 and all forms of homelessness are at record highs in London. We are raising money for essential supplies and emergency action this winter.

Closes 20/03/2026

Museum of Homelessness is the first of its kind in the world. We not only tell untold stories of homelessness to create social change, but also carry out direct support for people experiencing homelessness, including a winter shelter in the museum: www.museumofhomelessness.org

Story

We are raising £15,000 in this year's Winter Appeal, can you help? Rough sleeping has risen 91% since 2021 and all forms of homelessness are at record highs in London.

The Winter Appeal will be used to fund food, cosy activities at the museum, emergency shelter, respite accommodation, move in kits for if people get housed and supplies.

We need your help to deliver a warming and nurturing Winter 2025.

Winter 2025 at Museum of Homelessness will be a winter of community action which includes gardening, art, plenty of good food and supplies, an emergency cold weather shelter, a festive dog show, radical archiving, Christmas Extravaganza, sober wassailing, film club and more.

We will be getting thousands of socks, sleeping bags, handwarmers and more to the streets.

We will be continuing our emergency housing fund with Haringey Welcome which provides first month rent and deposit to prevent street homelessness.

The Winter Appeal will be used to fund food, emergency shelter, respite accommodation and supplies.

Last winter the museum provided 3327 hot community meals

And 101 warm beds for community members over the winter.

We piloted the world’s first emergency shelter inside a museum. Our shelter has been featured in Housing Justice and Homeless Link best practice trauma informed shelter guidance. People experiencing homelessness helped us design and tweak how the shelter ran. We will be running the shelter again this winter, when SWEP is called in London.

We also hosted 65 people for Christmas Day with all the trimmings and a big Boxing day brunch.

If you have been to the museum and seen our tiny kitchen you will know this was a Christmas miracle. Thanks to our amazing volunteers who made it happen.

As rough sleeping has risen 91% since 2021 and continues to rise, more support is needed than ever. Please consider donating and if you can't donate, no worries, please share the campaign with someone else.

Thank you so much, MoH Crew X
