Migraine and the impact on Mental Health Appeal

It's no secret that migraine affects our physical health, but what isn’t talked about are the harmful repercussions for our mental wellbeing too.
It's no secret that migraine affects our physical health, but what isn’t talked about are the harmful repercussions for our mental wellbeing too.
Dispelling the myth of migraine being ‘just a headache’ can often feel like an uphill battle, and callers to our helpline frequently tell us they feel that nobody understands - from employers to their closest friends and family - making them feel like they have nobody to turn to, and that they are completely alone.
The social impact of migraine can, as a result, be devastating; the inability to work, or even to spend time with loved ones, can lead to feelings of anxiety and total despair.
It is one of our team’s missions to alleviate this through our helpline; through funding research into better ways to manage migraine, and through campaigning for change so that migraine is recognised for the debilitating condition it is.
However, we can only continue to do this with your help and, as we receive no statutory funding, the ongoing support of people like you has never been more needed.
Please will you help us be there for more people by donating to The Migraine Trust today?
