Step Up for Dementia
Climb a mountain at home to raise money for people living with dementia in the UK. My Life Films aim is to help all of the 850 000 people living with dementia but this wont be possible without your help! As we are all spending more time at home, step up for dementia is an amazing opportunity to keep healthy, keep moving and most importantly support a great cause at the same time.
So, how many steps does it take to reach the peak of a mountain? The average home step is 20cm so Scafell Pike for example, the highest mountain in England at 978m would take 4890 steps to climb.
We are giving your increased time at home, an excellent purpose, so, join our step up for dementia challenge, pick a target mountain to climb in a week and encourage your friends and family to start stepping with you! We are aiming to raise £1 for every 100 steps you take towards a donation to My Life Films.
With an array of mountains in the UK as well as abroad there is plenty to choose from, but if you are lacking in inspiration then look no further! We have listed some mountains along with their step count below.
